About Harwell Harriers
Harwell Harriers was established in 2016 by a group of like minded individuals wanting to build a community of runners. Since it was first established the Harriers have gone from strength to strength and are now a staple part of the South Oxfordshire running scene. Our vibrant green kit can regularly be seen at local and regional races, charity runs such as the Didcot 5, Chiltern Chase, Wallingford 10k as well as Oxford and Reading Half marathons.
Harwell Harriers regularly participate and volunteer at our local Didcot Parkrun, and provide pacers for their regular pacing events.
We also hold our own Club Championship where you can pit yourself against your fellow Harriers if the above wasn't enough!
If this sounds as good to you as it does to us then come and give us try.
Give Us A Try
If you are already able to run up to 4 miles (6.5k) in 60 minutes then come and join us for an absolutely free trial session on Tuesdays or Thursdays and meet our friendly, enthusiastic and ever growing family of runners. We do ask that you please do contact us first, and we ask that you do not just turn up without prior contact - this will ensure our run leaders are aware that you are trialing us and that we can cater for you for the session.

Coaching
We cater for most abilities across a wide range of distances and terrains by providing a variety of sessions. These include; a coached interval session on a Tuesdays taking place on the track around Boundary Park or local paths on Great Western Park all year round, and on the trails at Wittenham Clumps in the summer. Also a group run of between 4 – 6 miles on a Thursday, covering various routes around Didcot and the local area. In addition, members regularly meet up to train or participate in events together at the weekend.
Club Kit
Every 6 months or so we place an order for professional running kit where you can get your hands on club branded t-shirts, vests and hoodies. If you cannot wait that long we also have have connections with a printing company who can provide on-demand, one-off printing of club kit on standard active wear.
For full information on the club kit you will need to check out the member's only section of this website.
Safety
For the safety of our runners the Committee recommend that all our members carry a mobile phone & to have ICE numbers with them on Club runs. Members should turn up on club night in appropriate clothing for the conditions. Hi-Viz for the dark nights, water for hot days etc. Any questions then feel free to ask.
